Little Wins Foxwoods WPT

The 23-year old Jonathan Little took down the other 5 players at the Foxwoods World Poker Tour, securing the first prize of $1,120,310 and adding a second WPT title to his winnings.

The Foxwoods World Poker Tour reached the Final Table stage, where 23-year old Jonathan “Fiery Justice” Little took home the second WPT title in his career so far, along with $1,120,310.

Over 400 players signed up for the The Foxwoods World Poker Tour in Mashantucket, Connecticut, and after 5 days of poker, the final table was set.

Mike Matusow started the game as the short stack and was also the first to hit the rail, even though he had managed to double up quite early; his A-J were no match for Little’s pocket nines, so he finished the competition in sixth place. He was quickly followed by Jack Schanbacher and David Pham. After Charles Marchese was sent packing, the heads-up action began, with Jonathan Little going against Jonathan Jaffe, the Days 2 and 3 chip leader.

The chip lead got swapped quite often between the players, but after 170 hands, Little emerged victorious. The final hand saw Little (picture on the left) holding , while Jaffe showed . The flop revealed . The turn was and when the river showed , Jaffe’s fate was sealed and Little grabbed the first place prize, the WPT trophy and the WPT bracelet.
